A fully concealed hitch for the first-generation Q3, narrowed to 2017–2018 models under our current vehicle-age policy.

The hidden frame sits behind the bumper and is reached through a careful cargo-area and rear-fascia disassembly.

1. Opening the cargo and bumper mounting areas

The spare-tire tools, foam supports, cargo threshold, side access panels, wheel-well hardware, and lower fascia fasteners are removed in sequence without forcing clips or finished trim.

2. Removing the fascia and factory reinforcement

The bumper cover is released from both quarters and supported while electrical connections are separated. The original rear reinforcement is then removed to expose the body mounting points.

3. Installing the concealed frame and anchors

Vehicle-specific anchor straps are placed inside the chassis and the hidden frame is raised into position. All structural hardware is tightened evenly and torqued to specification.

4. Fitting the latch block

The removable-receiver latch is aligned beneath the bumper, secured, and tested with the receiver inserted. Locking engagement, receiver height, and safety-chain access are verified.

5. Restoring and testing the Q3

The fascia, cargo trim, wheel liners, retained hardware, lights, and electrical connectors are restored. Panel fit, lighting, sensors, liftgate operation, and receiver removal are checked before completion.

The result provides rack or towing capability without leaving a permanent receiver visible below the bumper.

Stealth passive wiring is available. We install Audi trailer wiring only as part of the compatible Stealth towing package. The passive system can be function-tested before the vehicle is returned and does not require us to install or program Audi's active factory-style towing module.
