Audi Q3 (2019–Present) Stealth Hidden Hitch Installation

Vehicle coverage: 2019–Present Audi Q3
Receiver: Detachable 2-inch rack receiver; removable tow ball available when selected
Finished appearance: Hitch hardware is concealed behind the bumper when the receiver is removed
Body work: No visible fascia trimming; rear fascia removal is required
Trailer wiring: Available only with the compatible Stealth passive tow kit; active Audi factory-style harnesses and module programming are not offered

A removable-receiver hitch for the current Audi Q3 that preserves the original rear appearance when it is not in use. The hidden frame replaces the factory rear reinforcement behind the bumper rather than hanging an exposed cross tube below it.

This Q3 installation is a full rear-fascia procedure, not a bolt-on job performed beneath the vehicle.

1. Documenting and opening the rear of the vehicle

Rear lights, parking sensors, cameras, liftgate operation, and panel alignment are checked before the cargo threshold, taillights, wheel-well trim, liners, and lower fascia fasteners are removed.

2. Removing the bumper cover safely

The fascia is released evenly from both quarters and supported while the parking-sensor harness is disconnected. Sensor connectors are kept protected and the ignition remains off while the rear electrical system is open.

3. Replacing the factory reinforcement

The original reinforcement is removed. Vehicles equipped with the cellular antenna have it transferred to the specified location on the hidden frame before the new structure is mounted at the factory body points.

4. Installing and aligning the removable-receiver system

The hidden frame and stainless latch block are aligned and torqued to specification. The removable receiver is inserted to verify positive locking, centered placement, and usable safety-chain access.

5. Reassembly and function check

The fascia, wheel trim, liners, taillights, threshold, sensors, and retained hardware are restored. Lighting, parking sensors, cameras, liftgate operation, panel gaps, and receiver operation are checked before return.

Nothing visible when removed. The rack receiver or tow ball attaches from below and can be removed between uses, leaving the Q3’s original bumper profile intact.

Stealth passive wiring is available. We install Audi trailer wiring only as part of the compatible Stealth towing package. The passive system can be function-tested before the vehicle is returned and does not require us to install or program Audi's active factory-style towing module.
