Audi Q5 (2025–Present Third Generation) Stealth Hidden Hitch Installation
Vehicle coverage: 2025–Present third-generation Audi Q5; 2021–2025 plug-in hybrids require fitment verification and are rack-use only
Receiver: Detachable 2-inch rack receiver; towing availability depends on vehicle configuration
Finished appearance: Hitch is concealed when the attachment is removed
Installation: Rear fascia, taillight, cargo trim, and reinforcement removal
Trailer wiring: Available only with the compatible Stealth passive tow kit; active Audi factory-style harnesses and module programming are not offered
A removable-receiver hidden hitch for the redesigned Q5. Because Audi sold overlapping 2025 body styles, the vehicle generation and powertrain are verified before scheduling.
The third-generation Q5 requires access from both the cargo area and exterior rear trim before the hidden structure can be installed.
1. Confirming generation and powertrain
VIN, bumper shape, and powertrain are checked before parts are ordered. Plug-in-hybrid applications are limited to rack use and are not represented as tow-capable.
2. Opening the rear body and cargo areas
Taillight covers, taillights, cargo floor supports, anchors, side panels, wheel-arch trim, liners, and lower bumper fasteners are removed in sequence.
3. Removing the fascia and factory reinforcement
Rear bumper electrical connections are separated with the ignition off. The vehicle is not started while these circuits are disconnected because rear sensing systems may require reprogramming afterward. The factory reinforcement hardware is then removed.
4. Installing the hidden frame and latch
The concealed frame is aligned at the factory body locations and all structural fasteners are torqued to specification. The removable-receiver latch is fitted and tested before reassembly.
5. Restoring and checking every affected system
The reinforcement components, fascia, sensors, lights, wheel trim, cargo panels, and retained hardware are restored. Lighting, cameras, parking sensors, liftgate operation, panel gaps, and receiver locking are verified.
2025 fitment matters. Audi sold both second- and third-generation Q5 models for 2025. We confirm the exact body style before scheduling.
Stealth passive wiring is available. We install Audi trailer wiring only as part of the compatible Stealth towing package. The passive system can be function-tested before the vehicle is returned and does not require us to install or program Audi's active factory-style towing module.
