Vehicle coverage: 2017–2019 Audi Q7
Receiver: Detachable 2-inch rack receiver; removable tow ball available when selected
Finished appearance: Hitch is concealed when the attachment is removed
Installation: Full rear-fascia and reinforcement procedure
Trailer wiring: Available only with the compatible Stealth passive tow kit; active Audi factory-style harnesses and module programming are not offered
A removable hidden hitch for the 2017–2019 Q7 that preserves the factory rear appearance when no rack or trailer is attached.
The hidden frame installs behind the bumper in the factory structural area and requires precise disassembly around the Q7’s rear sensing equipment.
1. Vehicle check and rear disassembly
Lighting, cameras, sensors, liftgate operation, and panel gaps are documented. Cargo trim, taillights, wheel-arch pieces, liners, and lower fascia fasteners are removed.
2. Fascia and reinforcement removal
The bumper cover is released and supported while electrical connectors are separated with the ignition off. The factory reinforcement is removed to expose the body mounting locations.
3. Hidden-frame installation
The concealed structure is aligned at the factory body points. Hardware and retained brackets are installed in sequence and torqued to specification.
4. Latch and attachment setup
The stainless latch block is mounted beneath the bumper and tested with the receiver or tow attachment. Positive locking, height, clearance, and safety-chain access are confirmed.
5. Reassembly and final function test
The fascia, sensors, lights, trim, liners, cargo panels, and retained equipment are restored. Panel fit and every affected rear system are checked before return.
Remove the receiver or tow attachment and the hitch disappears from normal view beneath the Q7.
Stealth passive wiring is available. We install Audi trailer wiring only as part of the compatible Stealth towing package. The passive system can be function-tested before the vehicle is returned and does not require us to install or program Audi's active factory-style towing module.
