Audi Q7 (2020–Present) Standard Hitch Installation

A permanent 2-inch receiver for the facelifted Q7, intended for customers who prioritize utility and price over an invisible finish.
The receiver attaches behind the bumper rather than simply underneath it, so the installation opens the Q7’s rear body and sensing systems.
1. Documenting the Q7 before disassembly
Rear lighting, cameras, parking sensors, liftgate operation, and bumper alignment are checked and recorded.
2. Removing the rear trim and fascia
Taillights, wheel-arch trim, liners, cargo access pieces, lower fasteners, and rear electrical connectors are removed in sequence with the ignition kept off.
3. Preparing the structural mounting locations
The factory reinforcement components are removed as required. Mounting surfaces, body threads, retained brackets, heat shielding, and wiring paths are inspected.
4. Installing the fixed receiver
The receiver is aligned at the factory structural points, all hardware is started correctly, and the assembly is tightened evenly and torqued to specification.
5. Restoring and testing the vehicle
All electrical connections, fascia components, lights, trim, liners, and cargo panels are restored. Lighting, cameras, sensors, liftgate operation, panel fit, exhaust clearance, and receiver alignment are verified.
Fixed receiver. The receiver remains visible below the bumper. The hidden counterpart removes completely between uses.
Wiring is not offered with this standard receiver. The only Audi trailer wiring we install is the compatible Stealth passive tow-kit wiring supplied as part of a Stealth towing package. We do not install or program Audi's active factory-style harnesses.
