The CURT 56184 harness connects behind both taillights and uses a protected powered converter. The trailer output is stored inside the cargo area when it is not in use.

Connector Location: The trailer connector remains inside the rear cargo area for protected storage when not in use and is pulled through the hatch only when needed.

1. Opening the Rear Cargo Area

Cargo-floor coverings and the rear scuff panel are removed to open safe access to both taillight areas.

2. Removing the Taillights and Routing the Harness

Both rear lamps are released carefully, the factory connectors are opened, and the harness branches are routed through the existing body grommets.

3. Connecting the T-Connectors and Ground

The yellow and green branches are connected at their respective lamps, the converter is mounted inside the vehicle, and the ground is secured to clean metal.

4. Supplying Fused Battery Power

A protected power lead is routed to the battery and connected through the specified fuse only after the remaining wiring is complete.

5. Testing and Restoring the Interior

Running lights, brake lights, both turn signals, and ground are verified before the cargo trim and taillights are restored.
