Audi Q7 (2020–Present) Stealth Hidden Hitch Installation

Installed standard receiver hitch on a 2020 or newer Audi Q7

Vehicle coverage: 2020–Present Audi Q7; exact model-year fitment is verified before scheduling
Receiver: Detachable 2-inch rack receiver; removable tow ball available when selected
Finished appearance: Hitch is concealed when the attachment is removed
Installation: Full rear-fascia and reinforcement procedure
Trailer wiring: Available only with the compatible Stealth passive tow kit; active Audi factory-style harnesses and module programming are not offered

The clean-finish Q7 option: a structural hidden frame with a receiver or tow attachment that removes completely when it is not needed.

The current Q7 installation requires complete access behind the rear fascia and careful handling of Audi’s rear sensor network.

1. Pre-installation systems check

Taillights, cameras, parking sensors, liftgate operation, and body-panel alignment are verified before disassembly begins.

2. Opening the rear of the Q7

Taillight trim, taillights, wheel liners, wheel-arch pieces, fascia hardware, and necessary cargo access panels are removed. Rear harnesses are disconnected only with the ignition off.

3. Installing the hidden structure

The factory reinforcement components are removed as specified and the concealed frame is aligned at the body mounting locations. Structural hardware is tightened evenly and torqued to specification.

4. Fitting the removable-receiver latch

The latch block is installed beneath the bumper and tested with the selected attachment. Locking engagement, clearance, receiver height, and safety-chain access are confirmed.

5. Reassembly without triggering Audi faults

All rear electrical connectors are restored before vehicle power-up. The fascia, lights, wheel trim, liners, and cargo pieces are aligned, then lighting, cameras, sensors, liftgate operation, panel fit, and attachment removal are tested.

Invisible between uses. The receiver or tow attachment removes from below, leaving no permanent receiver visible behind the Q7.

Stealth passive wiring is available. We install Audi trailer wiring only as part of the compatible Stealth towing package. The passive system can be function-tested before the vehicle is returned and does not require us to install or program Audi's active factory-style towing module.
