Hyundai Palisade (2023–2025) Flat-4 Wiring Installation

The 2023–2025 Palisade uses vehicle-specific connections at both taillights with a powered converter and dedicated battery lead. We carefully access both rear lamp assemblies, route and secure the left- and right-side harness branches, establish a protected ground and fused power supply, position the 4-flat at the hitch, test every lighting circuit, and reassemble the vehicle.
Vehicle Coverage: 2023–2025 Hyundai Palisade
Connection: Vehicle-specific taillight T-connectors
Output: 4-Way Flat
Installation Time: Up to 1.5 hours

1. Disconnecting Power and Preparing the Rear Lamp Access
The negative battery terminal is disconnected and secured away from the battery. The rear hatch is opened, the taillight fastener covers are removed carefully, and the work areas are protected before the lamp assemblies are released.

2. Removing Both Taillights and Opening the Lower Access Area
Both taillights are pulled straight rearward after their retaining bolts are removed, and the factory connectors are separated without damaging their locking tabs. The lower driver-side cover is removed to provide a controlled path into the bumper area.

3. Installing the Driver- and Passenger-Side T-Connectors
The yellow-wire branch is guided from beneath the bumper into the driver-side taillight cavity and connected between the vehicle harness and lamp. The green-wire branch is secured across the rear bumper, guided into the passenger-side cavity, and connected in the same manner.

4. Securing the Converter, Ground, and Battery Power
The converter is mounted on a protected flat surface and the white ground lead is secured to clean vehicle metal. A protected 12-gauge power lead is routed to the positive battery connection away from heat, moving parts, pinch points, and sharp edges; the 10-amp fuse is installed only after the other wiring work is complete.

5. Routing the 4-Flat, Testing, and Reassembly
The 4-flat is positioned securely beside the hitch and all harness branches are supported with controlled slack. Running lights, brake lights, both turn signals, and ground integrity are tested before the taillights, lower cover, battery connection, and fastener covers are restored.
