Honda Odyssey (2018–Present) Flat-4 Wiring Installation

The Odyssey’s factory tow plug is located behind driver-side rear interior trim, allowing clean trailer-wiring integration without cutting the taillight wiring. Cargo panels are removed, the module is mounted in a protected location, the system is grounded, and the required factory fuse locations are populated. The 4-flat stores inside the vehicle when not in use and is tested before reassembly.
Installation Time: Up to 1.5 additional hours

1. Opening the Driver-Side Cargo Trim
Cargo-floor pieces and the necessary driver-side rear interior trim are removed with trim-safe tools. Fasteners and panels are organized carefully so the cargo area can be restored to factory fitment.

2. Locating the Factory Tow Connector
The Odyssey’s concealed factory tow-prep connector is accessed behind the driver-side trim. The connection point is verified before the vehicle-specific harness is installed without cutting the taillight wiring.

3. Connecting and Mounting the Converter
The trailer-wiring harness and converter module are connected at the factory plug and secured in a protected interior location. The system ground is completed according to the harness requirements.

4. Installing the Required Fuse Protection
The specified factory fuse locations are populated so the tow circuit receives protected power. Wiring is secured away from sharp edges, moving trim, and areas where cargo could damage it.

5. Testing and Restoring the Cargo Area
Brake lights, running lights, turn signals, and ground operation are tested at the flat-4 connector. The lead is stored inside the vehicle when not in use, and all cargo trim and flooring are restored.
