Kia Telluride (2023–2025) Active 7-Way Wiring Installation

The Stealth active wiring package uses OEM Hyundai/Kia electronics so the Telluride can recognize a connected trailer and support integrated towing functions. Cargo trim is removed, an OEM-style harness and control module are connected to factory towing and auxiliary-power connectors, and a sealed 7-way receptacle is mounted at the hitch. Lighting, auxiliary power, ground, and brake-output functions are verified before reassembly.
Installation Time: Typically 1–2 additional hours

1. Opening the Rear Cargo Area
Rear cargo trim, storage compartments, threshold pieces, and necessary interior access panels are carefully removed. This provides access to the Telluride’s factory towing connectors and protected wiring channels.

2. Routing the Factory-Style Harness
The active harness is routed from beneath the vehicle through the cargo floor using a sealed OEM-style grommet connection. The seal helps protect the interior from moisture and road debris.

3. Connecting the OEM Electronics
Inside the cargo area, the harness connects to the factory Kia towing and auxiliary-power connectors. A dedicated trailer control module is mounted securely, with proper grounding, fuse installation, and connector placement.

4. Securing the Wiring and Mounting the 7-Way
All wiring is secured and protected from heat, moisture, and road debris. The sealed 7-way receptacle is mounted directly to the hitch assembly for a clean, factory-style connection.

5. Testing Every Trailer Circuit
Brake lights, turn signals, running lights, 12-volt auxiliary power, ground, and electric-brake output are verified before the cargo-area trim is reinstalled. The completed active system can then communicate with the Telluride’s integrated towing functions.
