Kia Telluride (2023–Present) Flat-4 Wiring Installation
Newer Tellurides without the factory tow package require a powered trailer-wiring system integrated at the factory taillight circuits. Both taillights and portions of the bumper area are accessed, a protected converter is installed, and dedicated battery power is routed safely. All lighting functions are tested before reassembly.

1. Identifying the Vehicle’s Wiring Configuration
Newer Tellurides can use different taillight wiring configurations depending on trim and lighting package. We identify the vehicle’s circuits and confirm the correct integration points before opening the rear lighting area.
2. Removing the Rear Taillights for Access
Both rear taillights are carefully removed so the factory wiring can be reached. The necessary portions of the rear bumper area are also accessed to create a protected path for the trailer-wiring harness.
3. Concealed Harness Routing
Specialized routing tools guide the harness through the Telluride’s tight factory openings and behind the vehicle trim. The wiring is kept hidden, supported, and away from moving components and road debris.
4. Powered Converter and Battery Connection
A powered converter module is mounted in a protected location and supplied by a dedicated power wire routed to the battery. This helps protect the vehicle’s factory lighting circuits while supplying consistent power for the trailer lights.
5. Securing, Testing, and Reassembly
All wiring is secured and the completed system is tested for brake lights, running lights, turn signals, and proper ground operation. The taillights and opened trim areas are then carefully restored.
